Comet is approximately 3 to 4 years old and about 25” high, possibly a Saluki x Whippet. He is a happy, friendly boy who loves adults, children and dogs of all shapes and sizes. He has returned to foster after 2 and a half years because of his owners work commitments. Comet is fine left for several hours now and then but can not cope with being left for long hours every day. He is fully house trained, non destructive, does not counter surf or pester at meal times. Is completely non aggressive and will share food and chews with other dogs. He LOVES his walks and can get a little vocal sometimes at the start with the excitement. He walks nicely on lead (unless he see's a cat) and has a good recall and needs a very minimum of an hours walk a day, preferable with plenty of free running or he gets a bit stir crazy. Once walked he will happily snooze the day away or play with his toys and chews. He is very affectionate and loves a cuddle. With the right owner, Comet will be a very loyal, faithful, fun companion, a really special dog who will bond strongly. He does however have that Saluki sensitivity and can not cope with raised voices, being grabbed suddenly and gets stressed if he thinks he has done wrong. He needs an owner who understands about calm, positive reward training. Comet could live with other dogs or as an only dog with someone around all day as long as he got to meet other dogs for play sessions.
